Application and Account Details

If you create and use an account with Next, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to it, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. If you are under 18, you may use nextdirect.com only with the authority of a parent or guardian. Next reserves the right to refuse to supply any individual or company, to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in our sole discretion. We may combine the information you give us with information from other companies and use it to improve and personalise our services, content and advertising. This may also be done on a reciprocal basis. We may also contact you for market research purposes. You agree that we may use Personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti fraud checks.

This may also be done on a reciprocal basis. From time to time, we make portions of our mailing list available to carefully screened companies. Delivery

STORE DELIVERY IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Delivery will be confirmed at checkout. Free delivery offer available on all orders over €20. Orders under the minimum order value will be charged delivery of €3 per order. Delivery of your order is also free to any of our designated stores. You can select a convenient store when you place your order. Please ensure you take your order confirmation (supplied by email) and the credit card you use to pay as forms of ID. Please allow extra days for local holidays, UK national holidays, weekends and sale time. Next reserves the right to amend or change the free delivery offer at any time, but we promise to notify customers at least 14 days in advance.

10 Day Delivery for Furniture and Sofas

Furniture and sofas will be delivered to your home within 10 working days of Next receiving your order. If your order consists entirely of 10 day delivery items (furniture and/or sofas) and they are in stock then you will be offered a delivery date within 10 working days. If any of your items are unavailable at time of order, the delivery will be outside this lead time. If the first delivery date you are offered is out of the 10 working day period then please contact the customer services team on 0333 777 8077# Note: Customers ordering one or more items in an order will only be charged for delivery once, even if the items are not delivered together.

Sale Information

All Sale items are subject to availability.
Next day delivery is not available for Sale orders. During sale periods, please allow 14-21 days for your delivery. You will be advised of the estimated delivery date at the time of order. Please visit https://www.next.ie/en/terms for all other terms and conditions.

Orders and Contract

Your order for goods is accepted and a contract is formed between Next and you when we despatch the goods you have ordered and not before. A contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you by Next, nor at the point in time that you receive an email from Next acknowledging receipt of your order. Until the goods are despatched the order may not be accepted by Next, or may be cancelled by you. Exceptions apply to orders for personalised items and goods made to your order which cannot be cancelled by you once you have received an email confirmation that your order has been received, as such items and goods may already be in production as a result of your order. For a full list of exceptions to items you can return please see under the heading EXCEPTIONS TO THE RETURNS POLICY. For security reasons, until you have placed an order for goods, received your first statement and a payment has been received for those goods, you will be unable to order gift cards. For security reasons we may restrict the volumes of certain items to be sold in any one transaction. Following formation of the contract, Next shall continue to own any goods ordered until it has received payment in full from you, even though the goods may have already been delivered to you.

Delivery to Stores

STORE DELIVERY IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Delivery to stores is free and will take a minimum of 5-6 working days. This service is available in over 400 Next Stores but is not available for orders made on a Next Account until you have received your first statement and you have made a subsequent payment, for made to order items, digital photos and photo gifts, fresh flowers or selected large/bulky items. When collecting your order please ensure you take your order confirmation (supplied by email), the credit card used to pay for the order and/or proof of identification e.g. Driving License, or utility bill.

Offer Order Codes

Free Delivery and other offer order codes remain the property of Next Directory, are non-transferable and may not be reproduced in any form or used in conjunction with any other offer.

Returns and Your Right To Cancel

Under Article 6 of the Consumer Rights Directive (‘CRD’) you have the right to cancel your order as long as you do so no later than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or service. Please be aware that your right to cancel does not apply to certain goods that we sell, for example, items made or customised to your order, such as photo gifts, made to measure curtains and personalised goods and toiletries and cosmetics and other sealed goods,where the seal has been broken. You must inform us of your wish to cancel in writing either by letter, email or by using the cancellation form on the website or call 0169682100# within a period of 14 days beginning on the day after the day you receive your goods. You must take reasonable care of the goods and not use them. You should return goods to us in their original packaging, wherever possible, within 14 days of informing us of your wish to cancel. If you return goods to us, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage to them during transit and we recommend that you use a recorded or secure delivery method. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, we may charge you, or not refund to you, amounts that are attributable to the loss or damage. See RETURNS section for details of how to return goods to us.
Returns are free of charge to a store. Simply return any unused item within 14 days for a full refund (provided it is in a new, unused condition) to the store your item was delivered to (this does not affect your statutory rights). This approval period does not apply to certain sealed products such as jewellery, cosmetics, grooming or food products, where the seal has been broken, or Gift Vouchers. Please remember to bring your delivery note and the credit card you used to purchase the items for a full refund. Unfortunately, stores cannot exchange items. You can also return your items via your nearest Post Office using the returns label on the reverse of your delivery note.

Complaints

If you do have a complaint please write to Next Customer Services, Gedding Road, Leicester, LE5 5DW, United Kingdom or call 0169 68210 or email International_Complaints@nextdirect.com. Next welcomes and learns from complaints. We aim to deal with complaints speedily and sympathetically. All complaints are logged, investigated and replied to. Financial Complaints – Where complaints related to the consumer credit offer are not resolved to the customer's satisfaction the customer may have the right to refer their complaint, in writing, to the Financial Ombudsman Service, for independent investigation. Details will be provided as appropriate.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to resolve a complaint with you directly, you have the right to refer the dispute to the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution Platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr. If you decide to use this service, please use the following Next email address when completing the form ODR@next.co.uk.

Prices

The prices quoted are those ruling at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alterations to the rate of value added tax. If for this, or any other reason, an item is not acceptable, it may be returned providing it is sent back within 10 days and is in new condition. Certain products cannot be returned. See section above, for details. All prices shown are cash prices in Euros (€). We reserve the right to accept or reject orders, to refuse applications or with prior written notice to close an account. Prices of goods displayed in and ordered through the Directory may differ from prices in store. We will request payment for the full amount on confirmation of your order.

Availability

All orders for products are subject to availability. In the event of supply difficulties we reserve the right to substitute items of equal quality and value. You will be notified of such substitutes when you place your order.

Colour Reproduction

Next designers take great care with the colours used in the collections. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation. Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions are accurate. However, specifications may change.

Credit Card Payments

We are unable to accept credit cards that are due to expire within the next FIVE Days. Card details are checked and verified by a third party and goods are despatched once authorisation has been obtained.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions

    Your Gift Card can be used by you if you are the purchaser or given as a gift. You can use the card in full or part payment for goods purchased in participating Next Retail stores. This card cannot be used to purchase from Next Online or to pay a Next credit account and cannot be used at www.next.co.uk and www.nextdirect.com.

    The card can be activated for a minimum €1 and a maximum €250 and can be added to it at any time (up to a total maximum of €250 / £200). Any payment credited to the card which is subsequently dishonoured will result in the dishonoured credit to your card being revoked.

    The value of your purchases will be deducted from the balance on your card when presented; any remaining balance can be used against future purchases.

    Purchases and refunds made outside of the ROI will be subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate.

    The Gift Card is not intended for re-sale and cannot be exchanged for cash. If any item purchased with a Gift Card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or refunded, any money owing will be added to the remaining balance on the card or a new gift card will be issued to you.

    If found please cut in two and return to The Next Banking Department, Next Retail Limited, Desford Road, Enderby, Leicester, UK, LE19 4AT.

    To check your balance at any time call 016968210 in the ROI or 0333 777 8800 in the UK. For UK call charges contact your service provider.

    Your balance will be updated after every purchase and will be shown on your till receipt.

  • The Gift Card will automatically expire 5 years from the date on which the Gift Card was purchased and any remaining balance will expire also.
  • Next cannot accept responsibility for your card if it is lost, stolen or damaged. It will not be replaced or its value refunded in any of these circumstances.
  • This card remains the property of Next and is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.
  • Next reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the card at any time. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  • Next Retail Refund Card Terms and Conditions

    • This card has been credited with the value of returned goods and can be used by the recipient only in full or part payment for goods purchased from participating Next Retail stores. This card cannot be used to purchase from Next Directory or to pay a Next Directory account, or be used at www.next.co.uk and www.nextdirect.com.
    • This card cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers or giftcards.
    • Before you receive the card we may ask you for your address which we will retain to monitor use of our refund policy. On redemption you may be required to confirm your address and if this does not match the address previously given we reserve the right to refuse to honour the card.
    • The value of your purchases will be deducted from the balance on the card when presented; any remaining balance can be used against future purchases. Purchases and refunds made outside the ROI will be subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate.
    • The card is not for re-sale or transferable to another person and cannot be exchanged for cash. No change or refund will be given. The card will not be honoured if it is sold.     The offer is valid for orders over the minimum value stated in your communication.
    The offer is valid until the expiry date shown on your communication.
    The offer can only be activated once the voucher PIN has been registered at nextdirect.com. A voucher PIN can only be registered once.
    The offer can only be used for purchases made online at nextdirect.com. It is not valid for telephone transactions. Redemption of the offer involves registering at nextdirect.com.
    The offer is only valid on introductory orders with nextdirect.com for new customers only. One voucher PIN per customer only.
    If the order is returned, the value of the offer is non refundable.
    The voucher PIN cannot be exchanged for cash. No change or refund will be given.

    These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law. The parties hereby submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. All contracts will be concluded in the English language. Your statutory rights are not affected.
