These additional terms and policies are incorporated into these Terms.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and the additional terms that apply to a service or feature offered through the Website, the terms that apply to that service, or feature shall take precedence to the extent of such conflict.
We may change these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookies Policy from time to time for example, to reflect changes to the Website, the needs of our customers, our business plans, or changes in law. We therefore recommend that you read these Terms regularly. If we make a material change, we will endeavour to provide you with reasonable notice through the Website or by other means. If you do not agree to a change, you may close your account and stop accessing or using the Website. Your continued use or access of the Website after we publish, or send a notice about a change, means that you accept the change.
This section sets out Next’s general returns policy. This returns policy is in addition to your statutory rights, and does not limit, or affect, your statutory right to return goods, including your Cooling-off Rights (as defined in the “Your Right to Cancel and Cooling-Off Rights” section below).
If you are not satisfied with the goods that you have purchased from Next using this Website, you may return any unworn items (in their original condition), within 28 days of receiving your order, for a full refund. We cannot accept the return of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection, and hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed following delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights, for example where you purchase and receive goods which do not conform to the contract you entered into with us (e.g., if they are faulty, or don’t match the description provided by us (see the “To return goods purchased online which do not conform to the contract, or are faulty” section, below)).
To return goods purchased online to a Next store
Take the item you purchased online from Next using this Website, to any Next store in the Republic of Ireland (excluding any airport stores) with your delivery note. Any returns made to a Next store will be credited to your payment method within 5-7 days.
To return goods purchased online via post
Please use the returns label provided on your delivery note. If you are exercising your right to cancel the contract in accordance with your Cooling-Off Rights, you must pay the cost of postage required to return the item to Next (as well as any additional reasonable costs which may be charged in accordance with law), and any such costs will not be refunded to you by Next.
To return goods purchased online which do not conform to the contract, or are faulty
The following paragraphs apply where you wish to return goods because they do not conform to the contract that you have entered into with Next, or they are faulty. They do not apply in circumstances where you have simply had a “change of mind” in respect of the goods you have purchased, and wish to return them.
If, at the time: (a) you receive the goods, or (b) the goods are delivered to you by Next (or by a carrier you have nominated for this purpose), and there is a fault with the goods, or they do not conform to the contract you have entered into with Next, you may, depending on the circumstances, have rights such as:
If you wish to terminate your contract with Next in accordance with point 1, above, you must: (a) inform us about your decision to terminate your contract with us (e.g., via email or telephone), and (b) return the non-conforming goods to us. Next will cover the cost of this return.
If you choose to terminate your contract with Next, or if a proportionate reduction in price is granted to you (by way of reimbursement), Next will reimburse you for the price paid for the goods (and for any costs incurred by you in returning the goods to us).
Next will reimburse you without undue delay, and in any event, no later than 14 days after the date on which we: (i) receive the goods back from you, or (ii) (if we so choose) receive evidence which demonstrates that you have returned the goods to us.
Unless you expressly agreed otherwise, any such reimbursements will be made using the same means of payment which you used to pay for the goods initially. You shall not incur any additional fees in respect of any such reimbursement.
A recipient of an eVoucher must have a valid email address. You can book delivery of the eVoucher up to 60 days in advance but payment will be taken immediately.
Please remember to enter the receiver's email address carefully as we cannot be held responsible if the address is entered incorrectly and someone other than the intended receiver uses the eVoucher. Once you have placed your order online we cannot change the receiver's email address, cancel or issue a refund for your eVoucher.
Your eVoucher can be used by you if you are the purchaser or you receive it as a gift. You can use the eVoucher in full or part payment for goods purchased in participating Next stores in Ireland and the UK or online at next.ie. Purchases outside the ROI are subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate. Exclusions apply.
To redeem your eVoucher in-store take a print out of your eVoucher into any participating Next store or present your eVoucher email on your mobile phone.
eVouchers cannot be used to buy Gift Cards or eVouchers.
The value of your purchases will be deducted from the balance on your eVoucher when presented; any remaining balance can be used against future purchases. Purchases outside the ROI are subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate. Exclusions apply.
Your balance will be updated after every purchase and will be shown on your till receipt if your purchase was made in store.
If the order value exceeds the amount of the eVoucher, the balance must be paid by credit or debit card. If paying with an eVoucher and credit or debit card, your items will be charged at point of order not at point of despatch. Where goods purchased online with eVoucher are subsequently returned, monies owing will be refunded in the form of an eVoucher/Gift Card, or refunded to the original method of payment. Where goods purchased in-store with eVoucher are subsequently returned, monies owing will be paid in the form of a Gift Card.
This eVoucher cannot be exchanged for cash. The eVoucher cannot be returned and refunds will not be given. To check your balance at any time, call 016 968 210 in the ROI or 0333 777 8800 in the UK. For call charges, contact your service provider.
Buying or redeeming an eVoucher is subject to our normal Terms and Conditions and order validation procedures.
The eVoucher will automatically expire 5 years after the last time that you use it to make a purchase, or check your balance and any remaining balance will be deducted.
Next cannot accept responsibility for your eVoucher if it is lost, stolen, damaged or used without permission. It will not be replaced or its value refunded in any of these circumstances.
Any payment credited to the eVoucher which is subsequently dishonoured will result in the credit being revoked. This eVoucher remains the property of Next and is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.
Next reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the eVoucher at any time. Your legal rights are not affected.
Next reserves the right to remove, block or de-activate eVouchers without notice if it has reasonable grounds to do so.
The following paragraphs, which relate to Late Returns credit note vouchers, are applicable where you wish to return goods because you have had a “change of mind” in relation to those goods. They are not applicable where the goods do not conform to the contract you have entered into with Next, are faulty, or where you are still within the time limit to exercise your “Cooling-Off Rights” (as set out under “Returns” above):
There is no right to return items after the 28 days period except in accordance with consumer law. However, we may permit returns after 28 days in our sole discretion and in those circumstances, items returned after 28 days will receive a refund in the form of a “Late Returns eVoucher”, not a refund to the original payment method. If your late return exceeds the maximum value of an eVoucher, you will receive multiple Late Returns eVouchers.
The 28-day period begins the day after your items were delivered (or collected from a store). Credit note vouchers are sent via email for all returns methods (courier, or in-store). A printed receipt with the credit note voucher is also available for in-store returns.
Credit Note Voucher Issue
Credit note vouchers expire 6 months from the issue date. A reminder will be sent 4 weeks prior to expiry. A recipient of a credit note voucher must have a valid email address.
How to Use:
You can use the credit note voucher in full or part payment for goods purchased in participating Next stores in Ireland and the UK or online at next.ie. Purchases outside the ROI are subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate. Exclusions apply.
In-store: To redeem your credit note voucher in-store take a print-out of your credit note voucher into any participating Next store or present your credit note voucher email on your mobile phone.
Online: Select ‘Gift Card / eVoucher Payment’ at checkout and enter the Card Number and Unique Pin.
Redeeming a credit note voucher is subject to our normal Terms and Conditions and order validation procedures.

Part Payment: Credit note vouchers can be used with other payment methods (e.g., card, PayPal). Refunds on Credit Note Voucher Purchases: Items purchased with a credit note voucher can be returned under our standard policy. Where goods purchased in-store with a credit note voucher are subsequently returned, monies owed will be refunded as a Gift Card/eVoucher.
Important Notes
No Cash/Exchange: Credit note vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, returned, or refunded. They cannot be used to buy Gift Cards or other eVouchers.
Faulty Items: If you have received a credit note voucher for a faulty item (which is incorrect), please call 1-888 385 6398
Loss/Theft: Next cannot accept responsibility for your credit note voucher if it is lost, stolen, damaged or used without permission. It will not be replaced or its value refunded in any of these circumstances. This credit note voucher remains the property of Next and is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card. Next reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the credit note voucher at any time. Your legal rights are not affected. Next reserves the right to remove, block or de-activate credit note vouchers without notice if it has reasonable grounds to do so.
The above returns policy will not apply to goods purchased online from Next using this Website, and to your right to cancel the contract in accordance with your Cooling-Off Rights (as above) in respect of:
(a) contracts for the supply of goods, whose price is dependent on fluctuations in the financial market that may occur during a cancellation period, and which we cannot control;
(b) contracts for the supply of goods that are made to order, on the basis of your individual choice or decision;
(c) contracts for the supply of goods that are clearly personalised;
(d) contracts for the supply of goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
(e) contracts for the supply of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed following delivery;
(f) contracts for the supply of goods that are inseparably mixed with other items after their delivery;
(g) contracts for the supply of an alcoholic beverage where: (i) the price has been agreed at the time of the conclusion of the contract, (ii) the delivery of the beverage is to take place more than 30 days after the conclusion of the contract, and (iii) the value of the beverage is dependent on fluctuations in the market that cannot be controlled by Next;
(h) contracts under which the consumer has specifically requested a visit from Next for the purpose of carrying out urgent repairs or maintenance;
(i) contracts for the supply of sealed audio or sealed video recordings, or sealed computer software that were unsealed after delivery;
(j) contracts for the supply of a newspaper, periodical, or magazine with the exception of subscription contracts for the supply of such publications.
If you create and use an account with Next, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to it, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. If someone under the age of 18 does access, or use, next.ie, we request that they only do so with the express knowledge, and consent, of their parent, or guardian. In an effort to prevent those under the age of 18 from making payments on the Next website, we have implemented two-factor authentication for all card payments on next.ie.
Next reserves the right to refuse to supply any individual or company, to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in our sole discretion. We may combine the information you give us with information from other companies and use it to improve and personalise our services, content and advertising. This may also be done on a reciprocal basis. We may also contact you for market research purposes. You agree that we may use Personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks.
When your order for goods is accepted, a contract is formed between Next and you when we despatch the goods you have ordered, and not before. A contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you by Next, or at the point in time that you receive an email from Next acknowledging receipt of your order. Until the goods are despatched the order may not be accepted by Next, or may be cancelled by you.
Exceptions apply to orders for personalised items and goods made to your order which cannot be cancelled by you once you have received an email confirmation that your order has been received. This is because such items and goods may already be in production as a result of your order.
For a full list of exceptions to items you can return please see under the heading “Exceptions to the Returns Policy”, above.
For security reasons, until you have placed an order for goods, received your first statement, and a payment has been received for those goods, you will be unable to order gift cards.
For security reasons we may restrict the volumes of certain items to be sold in any one transaction, Next shall continue to own any goods ordered until it has received payment in full from you, even though the goods may have already been delivered to you.
Orders will be charged at €2 for shipping per order. Where it is not reasonably possible to calculate such delivery charges in advance, we will inform you of the fact that such additional charges may be payable by you.
Delivery of your order is also free to any of our Next stores. You can select a convenient store when you place your order. When collecting your order from your selected Next store, please ensure you take your order confirmation (supplied by email) and the credit card, debit card, or other means of payment you used to pay, and/or proof of identification (e.g., driving license, or utility bill) as forms of ID.
Please allow extra time for delivery in and around the time of local holidays, Irish national holidays, weekends and sale time. Next reserves the right to amend or change the free delivery offer at any time. Changes to delivery charges will not affect orders that have already been placed.
Delivery charge of Large items:
Delivery to stores is free and will take a minimum of 5-6 working days. This service is available in over 400 Next Stores but is not available for orders made on a Next Account until you have received your first statement and you have made a subsequent payment. When collecting your order please ensure you take your order confirmation (supplied by email), the credit card, debit card, or other means of payment used to pay for the order, and/or proof of identification e.g. driving license, or utility bill.
Furniture and sofas will be delivered to your home within 10 working days. If your order consists entirely of 10 day delivery items furniture, or sofas, and they are in stock, once you have placed your order for the items, and paid for them, you will be invited to book in for a specific delivery date (and this date should be within 10 working days of the date that your order is made). If any of your items are unavailable at time of order, the delivery will be outside this lead time. If the first delivery date you are offered is out of the 10 working day period then contact the customer services team on 016968210. Note: Customers ordering one or more items in an order will only be charged once.
A €30 charge will be applied if you request to cancel your delivery within 48 hours of the confirmed delivery date, if you're not at home, and the delivery fails, or if you refuse the delivery.
For selected Next Furniture items (which will feature the Next Lifetime guarantee logo) purchased from January 1st 2023, our Structural Guarantee covers your furniture against manufacturing faults or defects of the frame construction from the date of delivery.
The guarantor (i.e., the entity providing the Structural Guarantee) is Next Retail Limited with registered address at Next Retail Limited, Desford Road, Enderby, Leicester LE19 4AT.
You will not be required to follow a specific procedure to avail of the Structural Guarantee. As such, where you purchase products impacted by the Structural Guarantee, the Structural Guarantee will apply automatically.
Items of garden furniture, mattresses, recliner sofas and chairs, and children’s furniture are not covered by this guarantee.
When claiming, you will be required to provide proof of purchase. Your guarantee provides a repair service should your covered furniture item fail during the guarantee period. We reserve the right to use alternative materials, where the original is no longer available. If fabric needs to be replaced in order to carry out a frame repair, this may not be exactly the same as the original fabric, but we will try to find the closest match from available current fabric. If your product cannot be repaired, or it is not cost effective for us to carry a repair, we will replace it with the same model, where available or, if this is no longer available, substitute an equivalent specification, or value.
This guarantee does not cover: the feet of the item; where there is evidence of accidental or deliberate damage; where an item has been modified, altered or repaired by anyone other than us or at our instruction; wear and tear; where you have failed to properly maintain the item; if the structure has been subject to adverse moisture, or has been used in a non-domestic environment; if the product is in an unsanitary condition (for example, caused by pets), or exposure to chemicals or fluids. We reserve the right to refuse to collect, and/or dispose of any unsanitary product. This guarantee is not transferable, if you sell, or donate, your furniture item to someone else.
You are entitled, by law, to avail of the remedies available to you (free of charge) in the event that the goods you purchase from Next do not conform to your contract with Next (see the section entitled “To return goods purchased online which do not conform to the contract, or are faulty” above). Those remedies are not affected by the Structural Guarantee.
All Sale items are subject to availability. Next day delivery is not available for sale orders (including VIP Sale items) or clearance items. During sale periods, please allow 14-21 days for your delivery (but note that delivery of in-stock items purchased in connection with the VIP Sale can take up to 28 days). Once you have concluded a contract with us via our Website, we will provide you with confirmation of same by sending a confirmation email to the email address you provide when you place your order. We will endeavour to issue this confirmation to you within a reasonable time (usually, this will be within a few minutes of you making your purchase). In any event, the confirmation email will be issued to you no later than the time at which the goods are delivered to you.
When you enter into a contract to purchase products online (i.e., from the Next Website), you have the right to cancel that contract within 14 days (subject to the exceptions listed below), without giving any reason for the cancellation (“Cooling-Off Rights”).

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send us or submit via our Website your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel, using one of the methods described above, before the Cancellation Period has expired.

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us) without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract, either by receipt of your completed Model Cancellation Form, or of your unequivocal statement confirming your decision to cancel the contract.
We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event (including where you have agreed that the reimbursement may be made by a different means of payment to that used for the initial transaction), we shall ensure that you do not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall either: (a) send back the goods, or (b) hand the goods over to us (or, as the case may be, to a person authorised by us to receive them) without undue delay, and in any case not later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your decision to cancel of the contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before this period of 14 days has expired.
You may also return any unused item within 14 days for a full refund (provided it is in a new, unused condition) to the store your item was delivered to. Please remember to bring your delivery note and the credit card, debit card, or other method of payment you used to purchase the items for a full refund. Unfortunately, stores cannot exchange items. You can also return your items via your nearest Post Office using the returns label on the reverse of your delivery note.
Please note that, where you have decided to cancel the contract, you: (a) must take reasonable care of the relevant goods prior to returning them to us, and (b) are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling of the goods beyond that which is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
Where you fail to comply with your obligations to return the relevant goods to us, you will be liable in damages for any loss, or damage, suffered by us as a result of that failure.
Your Cooling-off Rights do not apply in certain circumstances. These circumstances are the same as those set out under “Exceptions to the Return Policy” above).

Next welcomes and learns from complaints. We aim to deal with complaints speedily and sympathetically. All complaints are logged, investigated and replied to.
The prices quoted are those ruling at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control, prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alterations to the rate of value added tax. If for this, or any other reason, an item is not acceptable, it may be returned providing it is sent back within 14 days and is in new condition. Certain products cannot be returned. See the “Your Right to Cancel and Cooling-Off Rights” section above, for details. All prices shown on the Website are cash prices in Euros (€). We reserve the right to accept or reject orders, to refuse applications, or with prior written notice, to close an account. Prices of goods displayed in and ordered online may differ from prices in store. You must provide your payment details at the time of placing your order. We will request payment for the full amount on confirmation of your order.
All orders for products are subject to availability. In the event of supply difficulties we reserve the right to substitute items of equal quality and value. You will be notified of such substitutes when you place your order.
Next designers take great care with the colours used in the collections. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation. Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions are accurate. However, specifications may change.
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Website, including text, graphics, user interfaces, visual interfaces, illustrations, photographs, trademarks, logos and computer code, the design, structure, arrangement, selection, coordination, expression, and ‘look and feel’ of the Website (together, “Our Content”). All of these rights are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and treaties around the world. All rights are reserved to the relevant owner or licensee of those works. Your use of the Website and Our Content does not grant you any rights in relation to any of the intellectual property rights or other associated rights.

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected or actual improper, illegal, or unauthorised use of Our Content or the Website (or any part of it) and we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action.
We are unable to accept credit cards that are due to expire within the next FIVE Days. Card details are checked and verified by a third party and goods are despatched once authorisation has been obtained.
Your Next gift card (“Gift Card”) can be used by you if you are the purchaser of the Gift Card, or if the Gift Card is given to you as a gift. You can use the Gift Card in full or part payment for goods purchased in participating Next stores. This Gift Card cannot be used to purchase from Next online or to pay a Next online account, and cannot be used at next.ie
The Gift Card can be activated for a minimum of €1 and a maximum of €600 and funds can be added to it at any time (up to a total maximum of €600). Any payment credited to the Gift Card which is subsequently dishonoured will result in the dishonoured credit to your card being revoked.
The value of your purchases will be deducted from the balance on your Gift Card when presented; any remaining balance can be used against future purchases.
Purchases and refunds made outside of the Republic of Ireland will be subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate.
The Gift Card cannot be exchanged for cash. However, if you give, sell, or otherwise transfer the Gift Card to another person, they will be entitled to exercise all rights under these Gift Card terms and conditions in the same way that you were entitled to. If any item purchased with a Gift Card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or refunded, any money owing will be added to the remaining balance on the card, or a new gift card will be issued to you. This card has been credited with the value of returned goods and can be used by the recipient only in full or part payment for goods purchased from participating Next Retail stores. This card cannot be used to purchase from Next Directory or to pay a Next Directory account, or be used at next.ie.
This card cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers or gift cards.
Before you receive the card we may ask you for your address which we will retain to monitor use of our refund policy. On redemption you may be required to confirm your address and if this does not match the address previously given we reserve the right to refuse to honour the card.
The value of your purchases will be deducted from the balance on the card when presented; any remaining balance can be used against future purchases. Purchases and refunds made outside the ROI will be subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate. The card is not for re-sale or transferable to another person and cannot be exchanged for cash. No change or refund will be given. The card will not be honoured if it is sold. If found please cut in two and return to The Next Banking Department, Next Retail Limited, Desford Road, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 4AT.

Your card will expire 24 months after last use or balance check and any remaining balance will be deducted.
Next cannot accept responsibility for your card if it is lost, stolen or damaged. It will not be replaced or its value refunded in any of these circumstances. This card remains the property of Next and is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card. Next reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the card at any time. Your statutory rights are not affected.
It is possible that disturbances may arise when we deliver goods to you, due to force majeure events (i.e., events which are unforeseeable, unavoidable, beyond our control, and for which we are not responsible, such as war, natural disasters, floods, fires, pandemics, epidemics, or similar occurrences). We release ourselves from responsibility for delays for the duration of any such disturbance, and from responsibility for the effect of any such delay on our duties of performance. Agreed delivery periods shall be extended by the duration of such disturbance. Where such disturbances arise on your part, Next must be informed of such disturbance immediately. Where the end of such a disturbance is unforeseeable, or where the disturbance lasts for more than two (2) months, either party has the right to withdraw from the contract concerned (or its services not yet fulfilled) and/or to terminate the contract without further notice.

If we do not act to enforce a breach of these Terms, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce these Terms. We may take any required steps against you later.
These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. The parties hereby submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland. All contracts will be concluded in the English language. If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms including the paragraph above, affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.

VIP SALE
Only invited Next customers will be able to book a slot and order from the VIP Online Sale. Do not forward details of this service - they are specific to your account. Slots are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Time slots are restricted to one slot per customer.
If you have an alternative delivery address set as a default, or select store delivery, you may be required to pay for your sale order in full. Your order will be delivered to your billing address. The default store can only be changed when you register for your VIP slot. After this, the default store cannot be changed for VIP sale orders. During busy periods, we may restrict the number of items you can add to your shopping bag. When this happens, you will have the opportunity to remove items and complete your order.
The VIP Online Sale is very popular and you have been sent an invitation before other Next customers. In the interests of fairness, if you book a VIP shopping slot and do not use it, this may also affect your eligibility for any priority VIP Online Sale invitations in the future.
All Sale items are subject to availability. Next day delivery is not available for VIP Sale orders. Delivery of in-stock items can take up to 28 days. You will be advised of the estimated delivery date at the time of order. Send to a friend delivery service will not be available during the Next Sale. Delivery to Next stores is available (selected stores only) for sale orders. The following items are not included in the sale unless otherwise stated: flowers, gift cards, personalised items or items made to your order, photos, domestic appliances, gift experiences, wall stickers, garden and plants.
