Beyond size, 4-slice models feature dual independent controls for different browning levels at once. Please note that our 4-slot models require the right side to be used first if you are only toasting 2 slices. How do I know if a toaster will fit thick-cut bread or bagels? Look for 'extra-wide slots' in the product specifications. These models are specially designed with wider openings and self-centering guides to perfectly toast thick bread and bagels. What do the different browning settings actually mean? The numbers represent browning levels, not minutes. Lower numbers give a light toast, while higher numbers provide a darker, crispier finish by increasing the heating time. What is the best way to clean and maintain a toaster? Always unplug the toaster and let it cool. Slide out and empty the crumb tray regularly, and wipe the exterior with a weak detergent solution. Does this item come with a manufacturer's guarantee?
